Our Signature Approach
Start by completing the inquiry form, which helps me understand your needs, timeline, and vision for your invitations. From there, I’ll create a detailed quote outlining your suite options, upgrades, and custom art possibilities.
Once you’ve received your quote, you can move forward right away or schedule a call or Zoom meeting to discuss your ideas in more detail. We’ll walk through every option together, ensuring I fully understand your vision and priorities.
After your date is officially reserved, we’ll handle a few quick housekeeping items and then dive into design. This is where the creative collaboration begins — choosing preliminary colors, fonts, and papers, and exploring the special touches that make your suite unique.
Once your invitations are mailed, it’s time to sit back, exhale, and wait for the glowing feedback from your friends and family. Your story is now beautifully told — on paper.
After your final approval, I’ll prepare all print files and move your suite into production. Once printed, I’ll personally assemble your invitations — carefully stuffing, stacking, and preparing each envelope (left unsealed so you can review them). You’ll also receive a beautifully packaged set for your photographer, ready for day-of detail photos.
We’ll collaborate closely to bring your ideas to life, sharing inspiration, refining concepts, and adjusting until the design feels perfectly you. You’ll receive digital proofs along the way, with plenty of opportunities for feedback and fine-tuning.

Save the dates can be mailed 9-12 months ahead of your wedding to give guests time to plan. Invitations can be mailed 9-12 weeks ahead of your wedding date with a response date of 4-6 weeks prior to the wedding. Destination weddings or weddings held over a holiday can be mailed 12+ weeks ahead of time.
The process usually takes 5-10 weeks from start to finish for custom orders. Collection orders usually take about 3-4 weeks. More complex print types typically take longer to produce. I have turned projects around in two weeks but don't make it a habit. It's less fun for all involved!
While I don't offer physical samples of specific wedding stationery suites I can send samples of past work including digital and letterpress and I do have sample paper packs that I'm happy to send along. Just email me with your address and I'd happy to drop them in the mail to you!
Invitations are mailed out typically 10-12 weeks before the wedding date. That being said, if you are planning a "destination" wedding mailing could be 12-14 weeks before the wedding day. To have the best experience possible the design process is best started 6-8+ months before the wedding.
Along with upgraded paper stock, envelope addressing is my most popular add-on. Designed with coordinating fonts and colors envelopes can be digitally printed or I can put you in touch with a talented artist who offers hand calligraphy. Envelope addressing is $1.75/ invitation and if this option is added an excel file for inputting your addresses will be provided. RSVP envelopes come pre-printed with your response address.
When you receive your invitations they will be stacked and stuffed into the envelopes and/or enclosures along with any additional vellum wraps, belly bands or wax seals. The envelopes will not be sealed shut. They will be ready for you to check over, stamp, seal and mail. Mailing services are not offered.
This is the part of the process I and my clients enjoy most! Once booked I'll send along a questionnaire to gather all the information needed to start your proofs. I will create one full suite mock up so you can get a sense of how your suite will come together and also provide a few options for the main invitation. From there we'll start to nail down your selections and refine various options. It's a very visual and fun process!
For all suites the base printing option available is flat digital printing. For custom suites or semi-custom suites with design upgrades we offer the specialty printing options listed below. Upgraded print types do require a longer lead time for production.
Digital printing ($) is flat printing where a digital image is transferred directly onto the paper. Digital printing allows for a quicker turnaround and use of multiple colors for the same price.
Thermography ($$) printing is where a powder is placed onto the paper and heated in a way to produced a raised effect. Thermography is priced by each added color.
Letterpress ($$$) printing is where a polymer plate is created of the artwork, inked and pressed into cotton stock to create a depression in the paper. This is a classic and beautiful print method and is also priced by color. A wide range of house inks are available and can be mixed with flat printing.
Foil ($$$) printing is where a plate is created of the artwork and metallic foil is pressed into the stock to create a depression in the paper. Foils are available in a variety of colors and can be mixed with both flat printing and letterpress printing.
While I often weigh sample suites for clients I highly recommend taking a completed suite to the post office for weighing. A variety of factors can alter the cost of mailing a suite. If you've added ribbon or other items that increase the depth of a suite there may be a postal surcharge added. Most suites will weigh between 2 - 4 ounces with the majority being in the 2 ounce range. Reply cards will typically take a first class (forever) stamp. Some post offices will hand cancel invitations for you however even when this is done suites may end up going through a machine at another sorting facility. When in doubt over-estimate your postage!
The suite that Kate created for our wedding weekend was absolutely one of my most *favorite* elements of the celebration. She created such incredibly exquisite designs down to every last detail. I was blown away at her timely execution considering all of the unique requests.
Working with Kate was pure joy from start to finish.
